Defer Tasks to Deferred Work Order
When closing a work order any tasks not closed will trigger an outstanding tasks dialogue. If you wish these tasks to be deferred click the “Begin Deferral Process” button:
You may now begin creating your first deferred work order:
- If there are multiple tasks being deferred select the tasks you wish to be on this work order.
- Add a deferral reason
- Assign a Maintenance Manager
- Select a deadline for the deferred work order to be completed. This can be date, hours, Odometer, Fuel or the next interval on the existing maintenance plan.
- If selecting date, hours, Odometer, Fuel if the asset exceeds the deadline set it will tag out.
- If selecting the next interval on the existing maintenance plan. The preventative maintenance work order for the interval will not be able to be closed out until the Deferred work has been completed.
- Click submit to create Deferred work order 1
- If there are still tasks that you did not add to deferred work order 1 the process will repeat until all tasks have been deferred.
